Sharpless - “Taurus”

Congratulations! By reading this post, you are among the very first outside of the band’s friends and family to find out about Chicago-based indie band, Sharpless. You’re welcome in advance for the hipster cred.

Started by Jack Greenleaf, Sharpless was born in February to turn Jack’s pre-written and recorded music into a six-piece live performance, playing their first full-band set this past Saturday.

“Trains and Tracks,” the oh-so-rad single off the upcoming An Horse album Walls which comes out on April 26! I love this band. Their lyrics aren’t the most profound, but lead vocalist Kate Cooper sings with the kind of conviction and sincerity that you can feel in your bones. And everything they do is just… fun.

An Horse are opening for Alkaline Trio on April 29 @ Toad’s Place in New Haven, and WQAQ is giving away tickets to the show! Tune in to BCJ Radio on Tuesday, April 26 at 9 PM if you’re interested. (You should be.)
