1. Dinosaur Jr. - Watch The Corners

This new cut from Dinosaur Jr.’s forthcoming LP I Bet On Sky is a slower, more downtrodden affair than their earlier, more aggressive material. That doesn’t mean this isn’t a jam, though. I’m honestly kind of blanking on what else to say. If you haven’t listened to Dinosaur Jr. what are you doing? Remedy that right now.

Also don’t forget to come to WQAQ’s involvement fair today at 4pm until 6pm!

Only a dingus would dislike this Swearin’ Video.

    Download their self-titled LP here:

WQAQ isn’t full of dinguses, so obviously we love Swearin’. They’re actually being heavily promoted on our rotation. If you don’t listen to Swearin’, you should. It’s free. Do it. Do it. You wanna be cool, don’t you?

See, peer pressure isn’t all bad!

  3. Sundials entire backcatalog is up for "pay what ya want" →

    sundialsva:

Yo! We just put everything we’ve ever put out up for “pay what you want” on our bandcamp. If you guys like downloading songs in twos (I know you do!!!) click the link and peep them 7”s!!!

We at WQAQ love Sundials, so this is awesome. There’s no reason not to check this out.

  4. We’re busy promoting #FESTAPALOOZA here at WQAQ, and we just got in promotional beach balls. Prepare for a bunch of these to be going around at the show!

  5. Bomb The Music Industry! - 25!

Too many exclamation marks? I disagree! Personally, I don’t think there could be enough as BTMI is going to perform at WQAQ’s #FESTAPALOOZA this Friday! Also on the bill are TITUS ANDRONICUS, THE FRONT BOTTOMS, THE GURU, GREAT CEASAR, and THE MIDNIGHTERS! It’s free for QU students and $5 bucks for everyone else. There will be free food, a guitar give away, and free FROYO! Doors are at 5:30; we’ll see you there! That’s a lot of exclamation marks.

  6. Hooking Up - Heavy

Hooking Up is a low-fi garage rock band from Richmond, VA that play fuzzy, drunken jams. I stumbled onto these guys on the Topshelf Records board last year and was hooked on their first EP. They released a new EP on Monday, so do yourself a favor and download it for free at their bandcamp.
