Get to know your 2011 Spring Concert lineup:
A Great Big Pile of Leaves
I hadn’t heard of this band before last month, but when I saw them open up for Tokyo Police Club in Danbury I knew I had to get Kyle and Chris to book them. Originally from New Haven, but now based in Brooklyn, AGBPOL plays an infectiously catchy, technically proficient brand of indie pop that’ll be sure to get stuck in your head for days after. They also have one of the most incredible drummers I’ve ever seen. Honestly, watching him is worth the price of admission alone. Check them out especially if you dig bands like Motion City Soundtrack, Good Old War, and Say Anything.
Check out the video for “We Don’t Need Our Heads” above and be sure to visit their website to download their latest record, “Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex?” The best part? You can get the record for free.
Don’t forget: WQAQ’s annual Spring Concert is Saturday, April 16th at Quinnipiac University! Visit the WQAQ tumblr page for more information!
